TRAVELING EXHIBITION OF THE HISTORY OF THE LOJZE SLAK ENSEMBLE

The traveling exhibition entitled »Moje plošče so moje knjige« (My records are my books) is the first part of a wider exhibition about Lojze Slak, his prolific musical life and rich musical treasury, in which Lojze Slak is shown as a musician, a leader of the ensemble, a family member and as a friend.

In this exhibition, members of Slak's ensembles and their most important recognitions and achievements are presented in a comprehensive and concise chronological overview of the musical creation of the legendary musician and creator of his field in folk music. The exhibition is also enriched with numerous unpublished photographs and all officially released music media.

The traveling exhibition was on view for the first time at the 2nd Alpe Adria International Accordion Competition in Neumarkt, Austria, and then travelled to many cities in Slovenia.
